I have those rubber burning smells too, but I only smell it when I step out of the truck not from inside. Also it's come from the right side back wheels.

4th gen sr5 has multi-mode full time 4WD system. You can run 2 rear wheel drive, but you also can run full-time 4WD once you engage to 4HI.

2007 SR5, when engage in 2WD, usually about 20-21MPG; In winter, engage 4WD plus winter tire, will be 17.5 - 18.5MPG 30/70 highway/city

V6, brand new winter tire, 4WD, 30/70 highway/city, -15 temperature. I got 17.9MPG

Send my car to the scheduled service, they checked all my tires and said there is no need to rotate.

For keyless remote, you just need to buy a new one from ebay (cost around $30) and follow the instruction to programming it in 2 minutes. Then it's done!

I wouldn't pick any models other than limited on 5th gen, because sr5 and TE are part-time 4WD on 5th gen. Not like 4th gen, all come with center differential, as long as you switch to 4HI, you can run it on all paved road and make sharp turn without worries.

Last winter same reason brought me to the toyota dealer, they found out it's the gas cap seal is broken, they replaced the part, didn't charge me anything.

It's from the pedal, not under the hood. So, there's no need send it to the dealer?

When I press the brake pedal, I can hear air hissing sound from it. Just wondering if that indicates something's wrong with the brake system?
