    Superman3043's Build Thread

New year quick update. 2021 was supposed to be the year for gears for the 4Runner but they kept getting shoved for Raptor parts. I guess the downside for the 4Runner not being needy. Late May we wheeled Uwharrie with friends: Performed my first oil change with the Budbuilt skids around mid...

    Steering Wheel Shake

How's your steering and suspension components? It sounds like tire balance to me, but if you've ruled that out, check your tie rods (outer and inner) and your control arm ball joints and bushings (upper and lower). Hope that helps.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Both reverse and turn signal? Tail light is ok? The problem is causing your hyper flash, so that is normal. Fix the problem, fix the hyper flash. If you have no power at the socket, then that's your issue. You probably need to start tracing it back to check for broken wires. Hope that helps...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Because of this speed range it sounds like the front clamshell bearing to me. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Added a Auto-Deflation Valve Stop Attachment from Faster Flate to the bag. Not sure I’ll ever use it as it’s pretty easy to close the valve and check pressure on my deflation system and it’s preset for lower pressure than I typically run (16 psi), but it was inexpensive enough to pull the...

Appreciate that. A member actually reached out to me and bought the one I wasn't using. I'd be glad to share the file if you'd like to print your own. Just PM me.

Added some back door USB ports. Idea I got from Darklight which he got from this thread. Really good idea for long trips with kiddos with short attention spans. The Raptor has rear charging and they love it. Super easy cheap mod. I think they came out pretty clean. Sent from my...

Yep, all fair points. I think we all wrestle with those thoughts throughout the evolutions of our builds. Super happy with both of my trucks currently with only gearing on tap for the Runner and Deavers and 37's for the Raptor (eventually Kings as well but much later), but that's short term...

No I'm not in that FB group. I am in the 'Carolina 4Runners Off-Road Group' though. I've actually met some of my closest local friends till this day on this forum. Yeah, I'll be doing ECGS built 3rds as well, probably around the middle or latter part of the year. Any reason you decided 4:88...

Yeah buddy!! Thank you so much. Was just looking at a post of your earlier with a pic of your Supra at the BP by the outlets and was like "I know that place". I work literally 6 miles from there. Love your truck as well. Surprised I haven't seen you around yet. Not that many 4th Gens on 35's...

Changed all my tie rods (inner and outer) over the weekend and made a couple discoveries/observations. First this rental tool for the inner tie rods is pretty awesome. Next, I ordered Pro-Forged parts that were marketed by Rock Auto as “heavy duty” parts. I don’t think they sell them any...

Check out my thoughts here at post #710 when I installed it a little over a year ago. I think it all still holds true. I really like it. I've since paired it with a new backup camera that is really nice. Front camera when off-road is also amazing. And I had to go in and re-connect all of the...

Amazon baby! Went from a single LED that came with the bumper to a 9 LED. I would notice people pissed off a lot as if I didn't signal for them while turning because they couldn't see the dinky little blinker. This is a huge improvement, however I still don't think it's super obvious depending...
