What tranny temp gauge for my 97 T4R?

Thanks everyone, great info. MAD69, thanks for that info too....I was wondering where the sensor was that the Ultra Gauge or Scan Gauge would use for the tranny temp??? I think I will go with the inline "t-fitting" sensor and gauge that Ripcord and BigFishAllDay used. Great write-ups by the...

    Rear Heater Lines

Rear heater lines This happened to me too. I did the loop and went without heaters until I got some new lines. I ordered the OEM replacement lines from toyotapartszone.com for around $85. So if you find a price in that range you'll be good. Definitely do this yourself, you'll save about...

What tranny temp gauge for my 97 T4R?

Hey gents. I'm looking to install the B&M 70264 tranny cooler and figured I would put a gauge in to monitor my temperature. I do some boat/trailer hauling in the summer months and it has been known to hit 100F around here. What's the best gauge for my 1997 4Runner LTD (3.4 V6)?

how'd you do blackout your emblems?

Plasti Dip is awesome I just did my emblems and license plate holder. It looks great and I didn't have to remove anything! Just sprayed a light first coat and did progessively heavier appplications. All in all I did 4 coats on emblems, 5 on plate holder. Thanks for the info gents!

    Lower MPG's after tune-up!?

I have had some success!!! The first thing I tried was the suggestion from Clemsonfan of reseting the computer (no time/no cost 1st): 1.) Disconnected negative battery terminal leads over night (longer than necessary) 2.) Reconnected, started truck, drove a few miles to highway and then went...

    Gas mileage issues... tried everything

I just had this issue after performing a tune-up (plugs, filters, MAF, TB cleaning) and someone recommended reseting the computer. They suggested disconnecting the negative battery lead for a while (I did it overnight but that's not necessary), starting her up and hitting the highway right...

    Lower MPG's after tune-up!?

I did not pull the negative battery terminal. I am going to the garage to do it now and let it sit over night. This will be my first thing to try to correct it. Next will be cleaning the MAF again. Thanks guys!

    Lower MPG's after tune-up!?

Yeah, after some reading I am seeing that NGK is preferred for the plugs and wires and Bosch is to be avoided. But I agree, I don't see how that could be the cause of such a drastic MPG reduction. I will clean the MAF and TB again and see if it helps.
