The UBB is definately for cosmetics only. A car moving any faster than 5 mph would probably push this up into the bumper, however, it's a great deterent for those parallel parkers who park by feel instead of sight.

No, the brackets fit right in front of the tow hooks. I can see the tow hooks acting as a stopper in the event of a wreck.

I got my Westin Ultimate Bullbar on today, purchased from JasonB. It looks great! The Westin is smaller than the Strona. Definately order some PIAA driving lights with your bar, as it looks naked without them!

I think a professional powdercoat would be a better matching, more durable option. The Rhino material has a gloss finish and looks like plastic to me... personally I want my bar to look metal and not plastic :-)

Alright guys I ordered one of the 5 black bars that Mr. Burtman has... will post pics when installed on my black '06.

I was at my local Toyota dealership yesterday and saw a newer Tacoma with one of these on it. It looked fantastic. The owner of the Tacoma gave me the number for the local Westin dealer who he purchased from. I plan to get the black one if/when available.

Why 2 kits? Do you have two 2006 4Runners?
