Hey guys, Have a cylinder 4 misfire and I believe it may be due to a bad injector. I know a decent quick first check is to put a screwdriver up to the injector but as we all know it's basically hidden by the intake. Do you guys have any tricks for quickly checking that without tearing it all apart?

Me too! That was my old Land Cruiser, every. single. time. And I hit it PB once at lunch today, I'll hit it again tomorrow and try to get a wire brush.

I assume you're talking about your rack bushings? Were your vibrations while going down the highway normal or when hitting bumps? Side note, how much of a pain is it going to be to try and replace that LBJ given the rust on that hardware?

^Yup Drivers side LBJ boot is definitely torn so that's on my ASAP list for replacement. I did not notice any visible play in either joint. I know it's not super scientific/accurate but it horribly failed the "bounce test" for the drivers side. Upper Video

I will check the LBJs this evening when I get home, is it best to check these with the suspension fully hanging or wheel off the ground with control arm supported? Not gonna lie, all these LBJ threads have me scared of my own truck now.

I guess I noticed the main difference in the 1>2 shift, in my previous trucks it was a rather firm shift while this '01 was a more subtle shift/slip into gear. No rpm spikes or hesitation, just very different feeling.
