Has anyone installed these on a Limited? I have a '15 and was thinking of swapping these in instead of the automatic running boards I have now.

Just got it back today. They said the battery they put in was defective. They tested it and it was draining after a couple minutes of having the radio on. Got a new one put in and all is good again.

I appreciate that! Makes sense now. I asked the tech today at Toyota but he wasn't clued in much on how they worked.

Has anyone been successful in removing them and just putting in a fixed option? Is this difficult to do?

I have a '15 with the automatic running boards and they tend to get stuck/delay more often than I'd like. I sometimes just open the door and close just to trigger them after I'm already inside. It's a neat feature, but can get annoying. Been debating on getting rid of them.
