I contacted my brother who own this 1990 4Runner SR5 with 1997 3400 engine. I asked him what is wrong with A/C, his reply was: A/C is a problem with the A/C computer talking to the new ecu from the engine, they aren't compatible. Not sure of a solution for that. My question: Do you know any...

My brother dropped in '97 3400 V-6 Toyota engine in his '90 4Runner.

My brother did not put this part with the spare tire/carrier so I searched for it in his boxes, no luck so I ended up ordered it.:mad:

The part is called Retainer sub-assy, # 51908-89101. I paid $95 plus tax.

Never mind.... I ordered the part from $tealer today.:(

I got an '90 4Runner from my brother and I put the spare tire carrier back on and there is an part missed. So, I got an question to ask you, what is it called that hold the carrier to the tailgate?
