A/C and newer 3400 engine

I contacted my brother who own this 1990 4Runner SR5 with 1997 3400 engine. I asked him what is wrong with A/C, his reply was:
A/C is a problem with the A/C computer talking to the new ecu from the engine, they aren't compatible. Not sure of a solution for that.

My question:
Do you know any solution to this?

It is getting hot here in Central Valley and I would like to get this fixed soon.

Guess someone here don't know the answer or too lazy to answer:rolleye2:

all that ac needs to work is power to the clutch on the compessor....have him run the AC and see if the clutch is cycling...

He is now living in Austria and 4Runner is sitting in my driveway.
