UPDATE: I zeroed in on the alternator, the noise actually stopped after I made a dealer appointment. I decided that the replacement wasn't worth the hassle of me doing it this time. Got the dealer down to $750 so not too bad. Now about that spiral cable throwing airbag codes..grrr.... Hey...
