Ran some 0 gauge cable to replace my existing 4 gauge that was in there to begin with. Got two new sundown subs in a beefy box and a new amp, so I needed to get more juice to it safely. OFC of course, nice new fuse blocks and power distribution blocks for the power and...
Raptor Liner!
The clearcoat on my 04 was pretty much gone. The roof had none, it was peeling and chipping away on the sides. It was beyond repair and a new quality paint job is -expensive-
So I raptor lined the entire thing! I was EXTREMELY hesitant, as I've seen some vehicles that look like...
No more Hyperflash!
I replaced my factory turn signal relay with one from Amazon to correct my newly acquired hyperflash. The LED turn signals in the Demello bumper caused them to hyperflash as expected. I already had the relay ready to go, just was lazy to get around to it with the heat as of...
Once the Summer heat dies down, this is absolutely on my list of things to do. It's supposed to hit 119 today, so I'm laying low. I've done the same treatment to all four doors when I installed my system and it made a massive difference. The rattling from the rear is starting to grind on me at...
Yeehaw
Made the drive down to Demello Off-Road today since my front bumper was ready!! 15 weeks of waiting but damn it’s so beautiful! I also had them install a pair of Baja design Squadrons sports and a Smittybilt X2O winch. Today was definitely a good day!
Picked up a license plate frame with LED lights for the new bumper. Got it mounted and wired up easily by splicing into the trailer harness with a t tap. Now I can drive at night again!
Trying to decide on what type of auxiliary lighting to throw into the rear. Leaning heavily towards some...
For now I'm just going to attach it to the spare, yes. I'm thinking I'll probably get a metal license plate bracket to affix to the swing arm for a more permanent solution.
I bought a flux core mig welder from Amazon, since I didn't want to mess with any gas tanks. Worked out great, just a little messy. I ground down many of the welds, but I left some where I had issue getting at it good with the angle grinder.
She's finished!
Laid down two layers of black enamel today. It feels incredibly good to be finished, and to also know I welded this beast together myself! Thanks again to Brandon at Coastal-Off Road for making one hell of a bumper kit. This was literally the first thing I've ever welded in my...
It's nearly finished!
I finished the last steps on my Coastal Off-Road Swing out rear bumper today. I can honestly understand why companies charge as much as they do for a pre-built bumper. They are a lot of work! Having said that, I am so beyond thrilled to be nearly finished. It's all primed...
Coastin to a Coastal
Almost finished with all the welding on my Coastal Off-Road rear bumper. Admittedly, it was a pretty ambitious project seeing how I've literally never welded a thing before yesterday. Lots of hours of YouTube and I'm feeling pretty damn good. Sure, some of the welds were a...
