I've got shackles on the frame. I hadn't heard of maker spaces before, but that's really neat. I'll definitely try to find one. My issue is I want to keep the plastic piece that goes right under the hatch to help keep dust out. Has anyone kept that top part and built a bumper around it?

Is there a good way to keep dust out? When I drive down powdery roads I get clouds of dust rolling around the cab, even with all windows shut and the vents closed. I think a lot of it comes through the rear hatch.

Take on old steel wheel, weld on hooks where they'll grab your actual wheel's spokes in one direction. That's all you need. Then just switch sides so it'll hook in the right direction for forward or reverse. You'll need a diff locker for it to work though, unless you make two.

My fuel gauge had the same issue, it ended up being carbon deposits on the reader in the tank. Its attached to the fuel pump. You can pull it out and use a pencil eraser to thoroughly clean it. It wouldn't hurt to do that and put in a new fuel pump, two birds with one stone. My fuel pump...
