Should I remove my sway bars for a long family trip?

Haven't had my front sway bar on my rig since I went to 35's about three years ago. Can't tell a difference.

Is this guy on crack or.....

Very true. Probably smarter to stick to my original plan of keeping it for my daughters first car.

Is this guy on crack or.....

Damn that's nuts. I don't really want to get rid of my runner but if he gets even close to asking that's really tempting..

Is this guy on crack or.....

True.. I was just left scratching my head when I saw this ad last night.. I almost want to text him and ask him if he'll let me know what he ends up getting.. I'm in the same region.

My '99 is leaps and bounds better modded and nicer overall with no rust but with the exact same mileage. And I would never think of listing it for almost 15k... 2001 4Runner 4X4 SR5 - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive... What do yall think? If it's not crazy I'm selling my junk...

    4:88s or 5:29s

Aight ima thread jack this real quick.. I’m ready to go 5.29 but what’s the consensus on gear installation? Just buy the ring and pinion by itself, 3rd members ready for drop in? What’s the best route? And where are y’all getting them?

    1997 SR5 Father/Daughter “Build”

Ugh, I hope I can get my daughter into the whole DIY thing in the next 6 years.. Currently, at 10, she says she want's to help in the garage.. but quickly changes her mind when I actually put her to work lol. Good job Dad!!

    Flemster's 2000 SR5 Sport

That's insane. In my parts, a used engine is a grand and I have someone that'll install it for $700. So $1,700 for another ~200k miles.. Or in your case, I could do it twice for another ~400k miles, and still have $400 left over... :bolt:

***For those interested. Coastal Offroad High Clearance Front Bumper Build***

Man excellent video! I've been on the fence about whether or not I can weld this up myself but after seeing this I'm gonna give it a go. Especially hearing that you were just using flux core as well as that's all I've got. Your video was very well done to.. your speaking and camera angles were...

Pro Tip - Key Fob Programming

I read that as him meaning just grabbing the little knob at the top of the door panel and using that. OP is referring to putting your key in the lock on the outside of the door and using that. (which was an option listed in the HOWTO thread of remote programming many years ago and discussed ad...

Not enough thread engagement on lug nuts :(

My tires have been that close to the control arm for many 'o miles and never had a problem. Unless you're having some kind of issue wheeling, I'd ditch the spacers. *edit: But if you want longer studs, these are them: Wheel Lug Stud | 610-407 | M12-1.50 Serrated Wheel Stud - 14.40mm Knurl...
