Here's the photos of the 4Runner that totally hooked me on a 4th gen..... No idea if this belongs to someone here - but I love this look. Can anyone tell me what kind of lift this would be, and what tires those likely are?

Thanks for the nice comments. I plan to check around some of the local wreckers to see if I can get a new visor and mirror. It's been viciously cold here lately - so playing around with any parts and pieces just hasn't been in the cards. I still haven't found what's rattling in my dash yet - but...

Finally got around to uploading a couple more photos my new '04. Still a bit odd that the badging is different for my '04 'Sport' compared to others. But whatever. After a month with this guy, I'm loving every moment driving it!! Here's the two 'Sports' together. My wife drives the '02...

I do have to admit, that V8 puts a smile on my face. My '97 doesn't have much punch in the power department. I've had to reel myself in a few times so far with this new one. :thumb:

I'll have to look at that in the light tomorrow. It is kind of odd, but it does have the 'Sport' badging on the rear - as well as 'Sport' floor mats. Not to mention the 'skewp'. It was never involved in anything, and the paint is all original.

After a few years of driving 3rd Gens, I finally got my first 4th Gen 4Runner. I've been driving a '97 for the last few years, and I bought my wife an '02 just less than 2 years ago. Still love both of them.....but!! I recently picked up a 2004 'Sport' (V8) with decently lows kilometers on it...

I did get a dark blue '04. But I got it here locally (Red Deer). But there were a few of them on Kijiji that had me interested! Hopefully I'll get a chance to post some photos of mine soon. How are you liking the 4th Gen so far? I'm falling madly in love with mine - haha.

Very nice!! I actually inquired into that very 4Runner myself. Until recently, I was on the hunt for my first 4th Gen as well. I managed to find an '04 Sport. But not before I gave yours a good look (online).

Contacts and Plunger are on order - should have them in a day or 2. Going to be a bit over a hundred bucks after taxes. Not bad in my books.

It is a single click - with no start. I did clean up all the acid (with water and baking soda) - as well as installed new connectors (but not new wires). And the original issue remains. Random single 'click' with no start. I'll likely do the contacts, and possibly a new neg wire as well. And I...

Yeah, I was thinking a new battery was in order anyways. Not fond of the acid - even though it looked to be a small amount. Just wondered if that was the cause of the "click's".

It's random. Sometimes 1 click - other times several - but sometimes none. So it's sounding like the starter. Uhhhgggg!!! I wonder how hard it would be to rebuild myself? Parts around here require a small fortune!!

A new issue has come up lately with my '97. I have a feeling my battery might be the cause, but I'm not sure. Whenever I go to start my runner, it's a crap-shoot as to how many turns of the key I do before it starts. Sometimes the engine will crank on the first try - other times it'll just go...
