Sounds like you have a syncro issue. Have you tried to change the trans fluid? If the fluid is dirty you can try to clean up the trans by running ATF in it for a VERY short period of time to clean up the inside, or you can just do a drain and fill but add some syncro mesh. Other then that you...

I have a 94 4runner and a 89 pickup. The frame on the pickup broke, i want to get rid of the ADD system and put in manual locking hubs from the truck onto the 4runner do i need to swap the whole axle assembly or just the hub and C.V. axles.
