is the antenna installed in a place where it has a direct view of the sky? They are not meant to be installed internally. I had the exact same problem as you and it turned out to be bc the guy at Best Buy was lazy and just put the antenna in where my AVIC was installed.

After searching the dark and mysterious backroads of the internet, I finaly managed to track down an 4gen spoiler with the "hump" for my 06. However, I have one problem, it is white and my 4runner is black/grey. What do you think it will set me back to get it matched and installed? MC

I am interested in this. I have an '06 with 65k and with the the timing chain at 90k would pretty much be a push. Wait, does the chain count as "routine maintenance"? MC
