I was told that the battery drain could have been caused by a rear latch or rear window lock. Does that make any sense?

I just bought my 06 4runner a week ago, it is great except if the engine is off and I close the window before getting out, next time I use the car the doors are locked, and the battery does not have enough power to turn over the starter but enough to run the lights. Is this something electrical...
