Take it back and get a replacement, you'll run into this a lot with rebuilt calipers. If your calipers are out of warranty try shopping around and getting a better quality pair, most of the big chain places have awful quality rebuilds.

He said he could post some pictures of the area that the sound was coming from. With a narrowed down area to search in I was hoping that I could get a better idea of what he was hearing, because it obviously wasn't the power steering.

Until you can get a picture loaded up I can't tell you what it is that your hearing from your engine bay. One thing that I can guarantee you is that it won't be a hydraulic part that your hearing that from as it would require pressure that wouldn't be present unless the engine is running.

Assuming that it is your calipers and not a pinched brake line your only real options are you either rebuild them yourself or buy a new pair.

I don't know what kind of money you're looking to spend but the best springs that you can get for it will probably be Marlins, he's got the best ride and a decent price too. As for the blocks, just get the right springs and ditch the blocks, you won't have any problems running your rear higher...

For the fronts, most trucks and 4Runners are set at the factory to about 13.5" - 14" from the top of the rim to the fender lip. This should tell you whether the front has been lowered or not, good luck.
