I think he ordered a cylinder online somewhere. I'll look, but I doubt there is a record of it in the glove box. The miracle: whoever stole it took it for a joy ride, ran it out of gas, and left it, in great shape (minus all the tools stolen out of it). But we have it back!

unfortunately that is not an option. The vehicle, at one point, was stolen, and recovered, and the previous owner has previously switched out the cylinder.

we can't find the keys. From reading other threads, it seems like I need to push that button up, and turn the key to the acc position. Can i use a screwdriver or something to turn it a little bit enough to get that pin to push up so that it comes out? Any one have experience with this? thank...

no. It's an auto that shifts with a "stick shift" like shifter. The previous owner perhaps never engaged it. I, however, did use it a couple of times on a trailer ramp, but certainly not often, nor for very long. Perhaps that was my problem: it just needed use.
