Add a 2in Rear Spring to 1.5in Rear Shock?

Hello everyone, I am in conundrum. The story goes, I purchased FOX 2.5 for my 14' Rnr and unfortunately I learned after purchasing the set that the rear 2.5's are rated for 1-1.5in of lift. Apparently Accutune makes a 2in version using the tundra shock, anyways I was fine with the 1.5in lift...

    FOX 2.0 Performance Series

Hey Sorry to revive this thread, how do you like the 2.5 front and 2.0 rear? I have the 2.5 front and 2.5RR in the rear. I have to get the rear rebuilt and valved, but was debating on jumping from the 2.5 rear to the 2.0 because the 2.5 only has 1-1.5 inch lift and I can get more from the...

Spare Tire Swing Out Welded into Frame

Thanks for the insight. Do by chance have a thread on your swing out or pictures so I can compare the two? I was thinking the same thing with the proximity of the tire to the rear window, but was hopeful that it wouldn't smash thru.

Spare Tire Swing Out Welded into Frame

Hey, I have been eyeing every swing out option that there is for the 4runner that isnt a full metal bumper. Between all the hitch mounted options out there I havnt found 1 that I like. Then I stumbled upon Eighty% Offroad and they actual have a swing out that is welded to frame and cuts an...

UPDATE. Shipping now. CaliRaised CAT shields for use with aftermarket skids.

What is the purpose of the brace, or does removing is hinder the support in any way?

    Spark Plug Enquire

The insulators did not have any oil on them when I removed them, just a little black grim if anything. For the most part they were clean. I was just worried that I wasn't reading the electrode deterioration correctly.

    Spark Plug Enquire

Hey Everyone, Just did my spark plugs on a 2014 SR5 @108k mileage. The overall process was very easy, but I dont know what I am supposed to look for when it comes to carbon buildup or if there was a leak in the cylinder. I have attached photos of the used plugs here and was wondering if anyone...

    AGM Battery GM Voltage Booster

Thanks Rig! That is very interesting. Do you use an OBDlink to check voltage and make sure it is in optimal range or is there any regular maintance that you inspect? I really want to get the AGM battery but Im just worried about upping the voltage and like you described "damaging the system...

    AGM Battery GM Voltage Booster

Thanks for the feed back and information. So its safe to say the Arclight voltage booster is the way to go to keep the AGM batteries topped off. Has anyone had any issues with the arclight booster, overcharging the battery or would the fuse pop protect it from damaging the battery?

    AGM Battery GM Voltage Booster

Hello, I am in the process of updating my main battery for the Runner and have read from multiple threads about the lack of voltage that comes from the stock alternator when upgrading to an AGM battery. Apart from getting an actual voltage booster it seems that the GM diode is a good...

    Code Reader/Scanner

Hey, I wanted to get a code reader for my 14' SR5 and wanted to get the opinion of what people are using. There are 2 that I am interested in and a considerable price difference. My question is the price difference worth it? I am only interested in getting some more information from the...

BFG KO2 or Falken Wild Peak AT3W

Off Topic, But I love my General Grabbers 285/65/18 E rating, almost 35k miles. They have great traction on pavement and off road. From what people say about the KO2s in the rain, the Grabbers handle wonderfully. Only every tested it in snow in a few times and it is able to get traction and...

    FOX Shocks - Off-Road 2.0 and 2.5 Options

I have a question pertaining to the Fox 2.5 Rears for a 2014. They are labelled as 1-1.5in of lift. If I wanted to add a spring that adds 2-2.5in of lift how would this affect the Fox 2.5 rear shocks? Would they over extend and ruin the seal? Thanks, just curious since most people want the...

Falken's Wildpeak 265/70R17 is the way to go

I can confirm that the Grabbers are great. I didnt get a choice on which rating to get when I purchased the vehicle, but they came with E rated 285/65/r18. Sure they are heavier, but man have I driven over some sharp rocks and it handled them like a pro. 20K miles on them and they are handling...

Mojave Road on 1 full tank?

Been looking at this road for awhile and want to hit it with my fiancée. Extra gas always helps. Quick question to anyone who has driven the road recently. Is it true that they filled up the river crossing so you dont really need a snorkel? The one thing holding me back from this trip. Thanks.
