Spark Plug Enquire

Hey Everyone,

Just did my spark plugs on a 2014 SR5 @108k mileage. The overall process was very easy, but I dont know what I am supposed to look for when it comes to carbon buildup or if there was a leak in the cylinder. I have attached photos of the used plugs here and was wondering if anyone could give their 2 cents?

The 4runner is now purring and idling so smooth now. Thanks.

Any problems getting them out? Any oil on the insulator that you wiped off or did they come out exactly as pictured?

The insulators did not have any oil on them when I removed them, just a little black grim if anything. For the most part they were clean. I was just worried that I wasn't reading the electrode deterioration correctly.

Those look great, but always check the gap. The center electrode can wear over time.
