As I mentioned, I'm out of town and won't be able to check it for a few days. I can only hope that the Toyota tech knew what he was doing. I think he knew, as he dropped the skid plate and everything to change the filter. Thanks for your thoughts.

I think it has to do what mode the system is in. On my 1998 T4r you have the option of setting up the active or passive arming system. The passive system automatically locks the vehicle after a preset time. The active system will only arm the system after you hit the lock button on your keyfob...
