Its a live one-time only stream so you can't effectively buffer. Say you turn the radio on and it buffers 10 seconds before it starts playing. Once the buffer is used up there is no way to buffer something that hasn't been broadcast yet.

Thats pretty normal for Sirius in my experience. I don't have it in my 4runner, but do have it in my IS350. My antenna sits on top of my 3rd brakelight. In a previous vehicle with factory roof mounted Sirius antenna it wasn't any better though. Strangley enough, XM radios don't have this problem.

When you put it in 4 as opposed to D all you are doing is keeping the tranny from shifting into its final gear or overdrive which isn't ideal when towing. So just put it in 4 and leave it in 4.

All you need to do is remove the rear caps, loosen the adjustment knobs on the crossbars so they slide, then slide them OUT the back (where the caps were removed).

I never understood why people liked the look of a non functional motorports type fuel filler, especially when attached to the original fuel door. shrugs. To each their own I guess.
