What does a Japanese Fuel Door Look Like?

I'll post pics up soon of mine. I purchased it from Carson Toyota for 221.13 + 40.94 for the cap. They come painted to match and look really nice IMHO! I may get around to installing it today.

you're kidding me right? you spent over $260.00 on a fuel door?
Nope, I'm serious. I wanted my 4Runner to be unique. I've liked the look of the fuel door ever since I've seen a Hilux Surf with one. It's the only one I've ever seen with a window, I think it's neat! I paid nearly $35,000 (well, more than, if you include taxes) for my 4Runner, so if you think about it, $260 more for a 'lil mod isn't bad at all. I paid about $120 for my door sill enhancements - another item that's just for looks. No regrets. I think they'll all look nice on my vehicle, I just need to find some time to install them! I'm still shopping for a bull bar (for looks, of course, I'm liking the Eurotech from T&H), a rear bumper guard (again, mostly for looks since these items don't offer much real protection), and who knows what else I'll buy for it that doesn't enhance comfort or performance. I do want a lift and larger tires once my Dunflops wear down - and I don't take my runner off-road, but boy do I love driving it through snow up to the mountains in the winter!

I want it too but thats too steep. you can always buy the cap and not the door.

Post some pics and let us know how difficult that was to install. My gas cap door is whacked and I've thought about replacing it. The guy who owned my 4Runner previously must have got it hung up on something cause it's tweaked.

Well, it doesn't attach to the original fuel door. It REPLACES it. We're all different, we all have different styles and tastes, but one thing we all share (on this forum anyways) is love for the 4Runner
I dont either, is it just a window so you can see the gas cap?
I guess its so you dont leave your cap at the gas station, you can clearly see you remembered to put it back on!

If I had the trails that most of you have, I'd go a different route with my 4Runner accessories, but we don't have that stuff around here. I'm in Western New York and it's all flat as a pancake. The only trails I know of that I can (legally) go to are for my ATV, a '96 Polaris Sportsman 500, and my bike, an '08 Jamis Dakar XCR Sport, which are what I use to off-road in/on! So, since my runner never sees any true off-road trails, I'm just going to do the T&H Eurotech stainless bull bar, T&H rear bumper guard, stainless fuel door, door sills, etc. Trust me, if I had trails remotely close, I'd totally buy a beefier suspension, an ARB or Shrockworks bumper, etc. Oh man, I'd be poor if this was the case! I'd love to do so now, because it would look totally badass, but it'd be completly poser'ish and useless since she rarely leaves pavement and I definitely couldn't justify spending the money on all of that for driving on pavement. Maybe in the future if I ever move out of this stinking State and head out West.
