As a follow-up on this issue, I finally got around to fixing it. The problem is with Part # 85903-60020. Some places list it as Control Module while others have it as Computer sub-assy, shift lock control. I couldn't buy just that part from the junkyard but they sold me entire shifter assembly...

If you aren't using the stock sub and amp, then I vote for removing them. They are useless weight at that point and take up valuable space where you could put the new amp, distribution block, line out converter, and part of the sub and enclosure.

Good points. I do have the sunroof. Hopefully I would catch that the new roof liner does not have one.....but you never know sometimes. :)

Are all of the interior panels and roof liner the same for all years across the 4 gens? I have an 04 Limited that "needs" almost all the interior panels and roof liner replaced. The previous owner did a bit of hauling plus had a couple of dogs and it shows. I have found a salvage yard nearby...

Like wc11 said, if having trim pieces is a deal-killer then you need to go with some version of a Toyota oem unit. You may have already looked but the large radio upgrade thread has loads of pictures of what various aftermarket radios look like in our dashes. How much are you into sound...

V8 was available for all 4th gen years, 2003-2009. 4wd was offered with both the V6 and V8.

Is this your personal vehicle? I see this vehicle is listed on Autotrader by Queen City Classics dealer. I'm also interested in seeing pictures for frame rust.

It isn't a 4x4 like you have in the title and it isn't a Sport like they have in the listing. You can see the SR5 on the side of vehicle. But, it is a good price. I would have them provide a carfax. Even though the listing says it has a clear title I would guess something is up with the history...
