Does the JBL headunit have a 20 pin connector in the rear ? If so how many wires are going to it ?

on the T1806 headunit, the iPod interface cable (SC12235) connects to its dedicated socket, and the AUX IN connects to a different socket. Therefore, either one can be selected by using the AUX button.

I purchased a cable on eBay to do the same thing last week. it was listed inder Scion AUX In. It cost $27.00 and would allow me to use both the Scion interface cable and the AUX IN cable seperately by switching from the headunit.

Mine was used in a T1808 with the IPod cable which allowed me to switch between the AUX IN and the IPod. I had the steering wheel controls which required splicing 3 wires which was easy.

The T1808 headunit has the ipod interface connector along with a steering wheel audio control/AUX in connector. Yes, both can be connected at the same time, and swiitched between by using the AUX button on the front of the headunit.

SC12235 cable The SC12235 cable allows the ipod functions to be selected by the headunit, along with charging of it. I have one myself and it works great. This takes the place of three other factory cables. They are usually available on ebay under SC12235

Scion headunits Only the T1806, T1808, and T1809 are iPod compatible. These require a cable to connect the headunit to the iPod.

Scion headunits All of the Scion headunits will fit. The T1806, T1808, and T1809 offer complete iPod compatibility when used with a cable available on ebay as "SC12235" and the Aux input options when used with a SC12237 cable. The T1807 only offers the Aux input option.
