    on the T1806 headunit, the iPod interface cable (SC12235) connects to its dedicated socket, and the AUX IN connects to a different socket. Therefore, either one can be selected by using the AUX button.

    I purchased a cable on eBay to do the same thing last week. it was listed inder Scion AUX In. It cost $27.00 and would allow me to use both the Scion interface cable and the AUX IN cable seperately by switching from the headunit.

    Mine was used in a T1808 with the IPod cable which allowed me to switch between the AUX IN and the IPod. I had the steering wheel controls which required splicing 3 wires which was easy.

    The T1808 headunit has the ipod interface connector along with a steering wheel audio control/AUX in connector. Yes, both can be connected at the same time, and swiitched between by using the AUX button on the front of the headunit.
