We got the 4runner back this afternoon and so far everything seems to be running great, it seems as if theres a little better response also. Which would make sense since there was no air going to the throttle body. Thanks for your responses. Now getting back to enjoying the 4runner.

I feel like most techs just plug in the techstream and read the codes then Throw parts at the vech hoping it works. Since unfortunately most cust want their car back yestarday and the techs don't get paid well for Warrenty work. It's all about numbers and the bottom dollar. Hopefully this fixes...

Thanks for your responses. On the r/o they wrote codes p1605 rough idling,code p2111 throttle actuator control system stuck open. remove replace ecm. they inspected the throttle valve for damage and debris found nothing. they used a tech steams to check throttle position 1 and 2 while wiggling...

The passport is piggybacked into the acc slot of the fuse panel under the dash. Its been like that since we bought the truck a year ago. I would think if that was the problem the dealership would not have warranted the 1st ecm since dealerships are quick to point out aftermarket add ons.
