folks, Lookin for a good knowledgeable, troubleshooter auto electrician who can fault find..having an issue with p0031 code which is essentially O2 sensor, changed out New Denso but code persist was told to check for frayed/short wire..need help in GTA area or nearer..Thanks

Hey Though its an old thread, am having the exact same issue on my 2005 4.7L v8, changed the bank1 sensor1 O2 sensor(denso) still having the same code & VSC lights ON. Wonder how you got rid of it.?

If testing the leads at harness what voltage am i looking for..Thnks

Bought from Rockauto, oh i did rust spray the frame area same time, i did realise some oil sprayed on the harness...could that be a reason.?

Hey folks Had a P0031 code, bank1 sensor 1, it was one heck of a job to reach it with a wrench, as i didnt want to buy the special socket ($15 or so),cut the wire harness at the sensor for the socket, cut a 22mm long socket to desired size & removed the sensor. Put a New denso sensor &connected...

Truly a 4 lbs hammer saved my day.

Its a Great product that i lean to use time to time, Have used on Yamaha bikes, Camry, CRV, Tacoma, 4R and all kinds...You could literally see the rpm guage move swift if it was sluggish to start with.

First drive was a 1995 Tercel, then 90 Accord, Ford F150 FX4, X5..list goes on, But had a Matrix 1.8L VVTLi 6spd that i enjoyed.

Its a Great write up !! Obviously more so for the later 4th gen where there is no dip stick. But IMO an electric pump connected to Vehicle 12v and to the tranny cooler lines would do the job faster & never have to go under the truck so many times...check the link blw for the pump sold in amazon...
