What did you drive before your 4Runner

My last car was a 2003 Honda Accord that had 474,000 miles on it when I was rear ended and the car was totaled. I really wanted to make it to 500K!

Maybe with the 4Runner......

Last vehicle was a 2008 Tacoma which I had for 9 years and 140k miles. It was a great truck that never had any major repairs outside normal wear items. Only traded it since the access cab was really tight with a car seat and it was 2wd.

I’m loving my 2008 4wd SR5 now though. Want to keep this one for at least another 10 years.

Last car was an 03 Lincoln Navigator with 183K on it. My friend's dad introduced me to the 4runner and I fell in love with it. Couldn't be happier with all of its capabilities.

I drove a silver 2004 Acura TSX 6spd with black leather and lowered with the Acura OEM kit and 18" wheels. I loved it but I was hit head on by a drunk driver and totaled it. I had always wanted a 4runner so I purchased a 2008 SR5. I have owned it almost 10 years and it has over 213k miles and it is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Boring old man car, because that is what I am. Been looking at 4WD and did too much research before just jumping into the 4runner. The thing that sealed the deal was my nephew telling me that he thought 4runners were old man cars. "Perfect" says I.

Where I'm from 4runners seem to be old woman cars. I see old women and soccer mom types driving the newest models. Then dumb hicks (like me) driving the 4th gens. And I saw a crazy grandma in a Wal-mart parking lot in her 3rd gen with the rear shocks gone I assume because the thing was tilted at almost a 20 degree angle! She peeled out of the lot like a bat out of hell.

Previous ride was a 2002 Tundra. Great vehicle. I had it for 12 years with very little maintenance required. Only reason I got rid of it was my kid outgrew the back seat of the access cab. The 4runner is nice but I do miss the tundra 8cyl engine. My 4runner is the 6 cylinder.

Ha thanks! Unfortunately there is a reason I don’t still have it. Old sports car plus neglectful previous owner meant lots of problems for me. But man when it was working right it was a blast to drive.

My 84 300zx was the same way. It was great...when it was running.

'13 WRX. Stage 2 pushing 305 AWHP/298AWTQ, with lots of suspension mods. Super fun Autocross car. Still have it.

'93 1.6 Miata. Bought it for $500 and fixed a lot of things on it. Was supposed to be my "daily", and accidentally bought a few more things and made it my Autocross car. Interestingly, I bought most the aftermarket parts from other partouts, and they were parts replacing bad parts.. Like I got a set of coilovers for $150, as the stock suspension was completely blown. Eventually ended up selling it and made quite a bit of money off it.

1996 Camry wagon. Sold to family at 242,000, and it now has 258,000. Meanwhile my T4R has gained 46,000 miles in that same time period :O

Last of the hot rod Lincolns a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. Beautiful car destined to be a classic. Has 180,000 on it now but has slight head gasket leak. Want to keep it as a backup.Maybe try some Blue Devil in it.
