Hi gang. I recently installed a Kenwood DMX7705S in my wife's 2016 4Runner, and now she's complaining that the backup camera is especially dark at night, whereas the factory one you could still see pretty well. Any ideas from the hive mind why this would be happening?

2016 Trail rims I’ve got a set of 4 2016 Trail edition rims that have less than 100 miles on them. I’m located in Northern California and would rather not ship them. Looking for $500 OBO.

Here's my setup. A Yaesu FTM-350AR. The main unit is mounted in the center console, and I put a K702M Diamond mag-mount on the roof with a Diamond Slim Gainer on that. Seems to work very well! The mount for the remote head was custom fabbed from some sheetmetal I had laying around.

Love the way you have your FT-857 mounted! I bought an FTM-350AR and mounted it very similar. I wound up removing the door altogether though. I made a custom bracket out of sheetmetal to hold it all in place. Here's a pic if you're interested! Taken with an iPhone, so quality is as per usual.

Well, I put it in with the two side pieces, but it sticks out from the side pieces way too far. Not sure if there's any way to fix that, as it uses the factory mounting bracket to mount it.

Hey Gang, I'm installing a Kenwood DDX-719 for a guy that I work with. I got the kit that Crutchfield recommended which was the 2 side pieces. The radio sticks out way too far and I can't get the trim ring around it because it hits the top of the silver trim. Is there any other kit I could...

I've read that... There's nothing in there about keeping it stock. Just to modify it. Thanks though!

Hey gang, I know this topic is well covered, but I can't seem to find the information I'm looking for. I'm not looking to lift my 4Runner. All I'm looking to do is replace the factory shocks. What should I be looking for? Is there a good upgrade to OEM or should I just stick with those? Any help...

Alex, I'm in Northern California. I'm actually an electrician! I haven't messed with circuit boards much, but I do a lot of soldering of wires.

Alex, I wish I could have you do my gauges! The problem is I use my 4Runner every day to get to and from work! Guess I'll just have to bust out the soldering iron and do it myself...hmmm...guess I'll need to get an electric one. I have a feeling my butane iron wouldn't work very well for this...
