Icon 52700 rear spring stiffness and further research

i emailed them directly and got a response with the info i posted so i suspect you got a lazy response from a lazy worker. not knowing the spring rate of a spring you sell is pretty wild. while i didn't say it was super stiff, i do maintain that it's noticeably/annoyingly stiff when driving...

what TPMS tool are you guys using?

thanks, i bought this and it works like a charm on my factory sensors. the unit gave me the option for a 5 wheel setup but i just stuck to programming the 4 wheels/sensors being used.

Alpharex MK II NOVA vs OEM LED?

mostly, but not in all cases a custom projector setup (done right) will outperform 2021+ OE led headlights and aesthetically they're inferior to the aftermarket setups there's no perfect headlight setup, everythings give or take

Alpharex MK II NOVA vs OEM LED?

i agree its a huge assumption, and also gives them the benefit of the doubt too the gen2 version of the novas use all 4 leds for low beam instead of just 3, unknown how/if that changes the beam pattern or not

Alpharex MK II NOVA vs OEM LED?

this sub-optimal lighting issue is well documented. however, it was probably designed this way because most of our vehicles will be lifted and concentrating the light output right in front of you is better than sending it out and into other cars rear view mirrors if you're aligning it correctly...

TRD PRO towed -City of Boston "street sweeping"

i'd say this for red light cameras and speeding in general since there are some grey areas that can be exploited but illegal parking is pretty night and day, in this case the towing is a deterrent

Rock sliders that "could" work as a step too

this was exactly my experience except i installed myself. sent victory some pictures of the imperfect fit, they said it won't affect functionality, asked for more detailed pictures but i didnt bother sending more

what TPMS tool are you guys using?

switched to new wheels and tires (5 tire rotation) and am running toyota TPMS sensors on all 5 wheels/tires. since the ORP can only store 4 tires at a time i have to have the 4 tires in use reset every time i do a rotation i've been going to costco since i bought the tires there and for the...

New tires to the market Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain AT

wow it definitely doesnt look like a quiet LT tire based on that gnarly tread and sidewall design interesting that it's only sold exclusively to one retailer though, i like seeing how tirerack benchmarks most of the popular tires

What’s your hot take on 4Runners? I’ll go first:

notification of a turn that is adequate enough in duration to inform other drivers and it also self cancels. you're literally removing multiple steps from performing a lane change safely. it's a no brainer imo

What’s your hot take on 4Runners? I’ll go first:

this vehicle is a 3 flash turn signal and locking gas cap away from being perfect

2021 4Runner has some serious sound insulation!

there is probably something wrong with that range rover the 4runner has almost no insulation in the doors or any other part of the vehicle aside from some addition of jute insulation over the years maybe you've got some placebo affect going for you. a new 4runner isn't quiet by modern car...

Higher Rear Spring Rate 2020 With KDSS

a lift under 1" lift will be fine with KDSS. anything more than that and you'll have to add sway bar drop spacers in order to avoid contacting your track bar at full droop. if you're looking for better ride quality though, your solution will be in upgrading the shocks, not springs

Icon 52700 rear spring stiffness and further research

icon spring rate was directly from them stock spring rate is extrapolated from wheelers T12 claim that their spring is 12% stiffer than stock

    Really like having KDSS

most manufacturers have a KDSS specific lift kit. the front can only be lifted 2.5" before you start having geometry issues. they make kdss spacers (treaty oak off road) for the front but it's debatable whether or not you need them (they're used to address KDSS lean if you have it). the rear...
