Yea, I drove it for 3 or 4 days before swapping the harnesses, and two days since. Runs great! It was awesome meeting you and glad I was able to keep a bit of your runner living on. Lol

Thanks Doc for the conversation and guidance! Swapped harnesses, exhaust is mated and it runs like a champ with no codes! It was a fantastic learning experience!

Update: it's in, wired, and plumbing 75% complete, but I've hit a roadblock... the o2 sensor prior to the cat on the 99 exhaust does not match the connector on the 2000/cali harness. Wiring is different colors so cutting and splicing the concord from the old harness onto the new harness is...

Eh... the manifold bolts look AWFUL, I've already rung off 2 on the exhaust, really not trying to break the studs in the head....

Donor is a 2000 cali emissions, patient is a 99 federal... so if I'm understanding correctly, as long as I keep the 99 02 sensors intact, everything else should be fine?

About 2 years ago, I had the misfortune of suffering from the pink milkshake. I've limped the trans along since but it's finally given up. In preparation for this day, I purchased a salvage truck from a member here, and decided to swap out the motor as well, since mine had over 315k and leaked...

So, a lil over a year ago, my trans milkshaked. I've limped it this far, but it's done now. Looking at two used replacements, but I'm really not sure if there's a difference, or if all 3rd gen auto were the same... Mine is a '99 limited with the multimode 4x4, both of the replacements are from...
