I was at a Honda dealership where a guy traded in 2 month old 2015 4Runner TRD Pro the prior day for a Ford Raptor, at a Honda dealership no less. Go figure. The 2015 4Runner TRD Pro will have less under the hood, if you know what I mean (~411hp vs ~270hp). I'm somewhat off on those numbers...

thanks, good info. it may be powder coated silver, but on the 2015 TRD Pro trim, the plate is visually 'tan' to my eye. see pics...

skid plate all back in place. I like the result. old bolts swapped around as previously described. holding good so far, i'll check them periodically. didn't apply the 'thin' washers. they would not go on easily. what's a project without a few extra pieces when done, right?

Here were the parts I got at Amazon for my fix (see pics). I first tried the still good rear bolts with in the front nuts, they would not go in, so I chased the front nuts with the attached device in the pic. Now they go in just fine. I then chased the bolts, and they definitely need to be...

thanks everyone for your input, you all know much more about how this works than I do. however, here are my unscientific actuals thus far in case it helps anyone. installed the eco block at 3/4 tank, reset counters, and got ~14.8 'city' until took on the hwy. one 50 mile round trip upped that...

thanks for all your input. so yes, the bolts are stripped, and no, the nuts did not pop off....I don't think i'll be able to chase the bolt threads that are not there (as one of you stated...) but I will chase the nuts, and with new bolts, hopefully i'll be back in business.

Took my skid plate off to paint it. Not sure if I have an issue or not. First front bolt seemed to be stripped and was not coming out. I stopped and re-read this thread. It didn't really help. I noticed something spinning above the plate when turning the bolt (bad visibility above the plate...

put TRDP to work carrying 10x3cubic ft mulch + 5x40lbs dirt the other day...with space to spare....note the hitch pre-plasti dip..

blacksheep4: so did you take your roof rack completely off or did you plasti dip it in place? seems like it would be hard to get the bottom of the rails if painted in place. thanks
