His 4Runner still looks good, I couldn't see anything obvious with the hood.

Nope, I just trimmed the cowling and the hood sits flush. Sure looks like they could have designed them without having to cut into the cowling. A little disappointed in that but the brackets are stout and i like the lights and location of them.

Productive day:
1. Stealership fixed a paint issue under the rear door vinyl.
2. Had the front windows tinted
3. Came home and gawked at the front emble. Felt empowered to plasti-dip.
Now I only have the roof rails and front/rear valances needing painted. Good times.

painting my skids and putting them on today along with adding the shims to the brake pads i put on a few days ago and didn't already have any because i thought the original ones would be ok, but half of them were toast.. like disintegrated around the edges. so i put the pads on anyways without them and drove lightly when i did.. they did fine.. but i want the shims in there and that'll get finished up today.

did you go with llumar air to tint front windshield? how do you like it?

Today I dug 8 holes in the yard trying to prove again that factory Bridgestones aren't any better than racing slicks in moist earth trying to pull out a tree stump. Too bad it's too close to the house to use dynamite, and too close to the gas line for me to consider burning it out.

Threw on my diff skid to protect those fresh new gears/locker/master diff rebuild kits install and then my new shocks arrived. These Kings are huge in person. Giggled like a little school girl when I opened the box.

It wasn't really today, but last Sunday should be close enough...
The sun was out in Seattle, so we headed east on I-90 to North Bend and the Little Mt. Si Trail. Enjoyed the new Springtime bright green leaves and ferns, and hoofed it up to the top. Hadn't done any hiking since January, so it was pretty slow going. On the way back we went a ways up Mt. Si on the Boulder Garden Trail, then home and back to work on the 4Runner.
