    1991 4runner "Gray2"

Hey all, This is my first official post at T4R. It's going to be kind of a build thread with the general purpose to keep this thing on (and off) the road for as long as I can. This is technically my 3rd 4runner, second that I've officially owned. The first one was my now wife's beater. Which...

    My 1989 Toyota

Man, for someone to want a leaky power steering pump, times have gotta be tough. Nice little runner. I love these older gen ones. Mine has never let me down and I love wrenching on it when I can. Do you have any plans for further life? Or just going to daily it around?

What inpired you to buy a Runner?

My highschool sweet heart (now wife). She learned to drive in her dad's 4runner, which soon became the first one I drove, and now 7 years later I have my own (3rd if you count the first one that i was always stealing from my Father In Law) 2nd Gen. She's a beaut, and my wife still thinks I'm...

    My 89 rebuild/restore

I don't have any pics of mine, but that's a tough spot. If you plan on keeping this for a long time, I adopt the attitude of "doing it right the first time". A sheet of stainless would not only be sweet, but you'd avoid that issues again. It would be a pretty huge project to do with the...

    The Black Mamba Build

That is an awesome looking ride. I'm browsing different build threads since I'm new. I love these trucks and yours is sweet! I have a 91 that will be getting more love this summer.

    My 89 rebuild/restore

I'll be watching this thread! I like these generations (I've had three). The biggest challenge is always their engines. Luckily my latest one had the engine rebuilt already for me. Was considering doing all this when my 93' V6 blew a head gasket. I went with a better truck. The 93' was rusty so...

What nationality are you ? Anyone famous in family ?

I'm 6th generation Canadian on my mom's side, but before then Irish. On my Dad's side, Scottish. Beer is good. My uncle is the Vokey in Vokey golf wedges. Thats about it :rapture:

What gen is the best for off-roading?

I think it depends on the type of offroading, just as others have posted. I find first gens that have all the aftermarket goodies are astonishing. But they simply don't have creature comforts like the newer modified gens do. I personally really like my 2nd gen, but I would also admit the...

GREAT Movies you just watched in last 7 days

Just watched BladeRunner 2049. I liked it. Some people didn't like the story arc but I thought it was a very well thought out sequel to the original.

    3vze rebuild in process

Wish I could be of more help, but good luck with the rebuild. I was trying to decide to do this to my old 4runner but I felt it was more cost effective to get another truck and start from that platform. All the best.

    1990 silver bullet runner

Nice truck and nice body work. Mine will be needing a little bit of attention in some of the same areas soon. Keep it up!

    2nd Gen T4R Picture Gallery

Man that is a sweet ride. I love the SAS front end. Did you do that yourself? This is something I'm considering for my own!
