Add one to corroded metal valve caps. Acura had the common sence to recall my TL to install plastic caps - I never thought about the 4Runner. I needed pliers to take one of the caps off and the metal valve stem twisted a little. we'll see if it is flat in the morning! For anyone in the snow...

Heading to a drive in movie tonight - and it is 95 degrees and humid so it would be nice to run the car even occasionally. I bet everyone there would love for my DRLs to be disabled... Kinda stupid that I would have to go to a dealer to turn the lights off though.

If I recall, my '01 taco took 7 qts for a drain and fill - that manual was way off too.

Methodical do the toyota's have a blend door. for some reason I always thought that the 4runner modulated coolant flow to the heater core to adjust temperature.

Koz I still agree with you... but only in moderate climates. in my '06 I push the temp all the way up and press the high fan speed and select where I want the heat. the Auto is NOT illuminated. the heat starts, but if I lower the temp down from "high" and lower it to around 70 you can feel...

X2 I vote for design defect - I dont need to spend any more time with the system to figure it out. turning off auto doesnt make it manual - only semi-automatic. I do agree though that the system is easy to use, but when it is -5 degrees out, I want that fan on FULL BLAST - but the truck feels...

mine does the same. it was most noticeable the other night, it was 40 degrees out and the runner was hot. with auto turned off, I lowered the temp and crazy enough the fan speed went from high to med to low. I find that if you are never really out of "auto" mode. when auto is illuminated...

my Dunlop AT-20's seem to be "cracking" where the tread rolls off into the sidewall. Is this happening to anyone else's dunflops or am I just really special? The truck is only a year old with 30K on it.:xnuts:
