It should (hopefully) be fixable with a round file but the bumper panel is in the way so it will be a pain...

Here are 2 "poor" pictures I took with my cell phone at night in the garage and one of the scratches made with the hammer as I was tring to "tap"the pin in.

So do you want pictures of me at the track trying to get the pin in the stinger/hitch and all my buddies laughing at me trying to beat it in with a hammer... Lol I'll try to get a picture that shows how when the pin is coming out on the other side isn't centered and won't go through.

What I'm not understanding and pictures would probably help but I thought that the cross member on the TR4 is welded to the frame so I don't see how you could replace the OEM receive/hitch with the Lexus one.... I hope you can but need to see some picture on how it's done with the stock cross...

Lol that's correct, she has a 1968 Barracuda that she races most weekends and she tows it herself. Has been using an 2000 Xterra with 200,000 miles. It runs 10.81 at 124mph. She also drives my 1971 Barracuda that has run as fast as 9.40 at 143mph. She is an addrenilean junkie and loves fast...

Why in the world did they charge you to fix this?

I went to install the stinger into the receiver this weekend so my wife could use her new TR4 to tow her race car but I had to abort.... I expected the paint to make the stinger fit tight in the receiver for the first time and it was but I got it inserted and got the pin holes aligned and tried...

They are the factory 2012 aluminum running boards. They seem pretty sturdy and we don't plan on doing any off roading so they should hold up.

Sorry about that, just took them with my phone and posted them, I've reduced them by 60% now. Hopefully that works better.
