Everyone as stumped as I am???

Here's the deal. I started looking into what I thought was a burned out right hand turn signal. The bulb and fuse turned out being fine, I just wasn't getting any continuity through the bulb housing. After a few minutes cleaning up the terminals with a scotchbrite pad I got power through housing...
