Cargo liner and/or mat for large dogs in 4runner

I travel with 2 German Shepherds that shed a lot and can get very wet and muddy on some of our adventures. I purchase a couple 82x72 inch moving blankets that cover the entire rear cabin. I think they cost me around $15 each and can be easily vacuumed or washed as needed.

    Battery thoughts

2016 Limited owner here. I did my homework and purchased a NAPA battery to replace the OEM Panasonic that served me well for nearly 5 years in New England. East Penn makes batteries for NAPA, the price is excellent, especially with regular sales, and performance has been excellent.

More tire confusion on the 5th Gen Limited

The Defender LTX are the perfect tires for New England on the Limited if you're realistic about your needs. I'm 90+% driving on pavement so I'm more than willing to compromise some off road capability.

Anybody running 245-60-20 Toyo Open Country AT 2s on a limited?

I decided to go with the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 tires and so far love them. Much better handling and ride than the stock duelers and also have a wider profile. The quiet ride and match for my driving needs are big reasons I went with them. Also should be great in snow based on reviews

Hmm, guess I'll be the first.

Don't want to buy another set of wheels, tires and monitors and the Toyo tires seem like a great all round tire for my needs. Driving experience like handling and noise appreciated. Thanks!

Thoughts on windshield repair gone bad?

Fuyao bought PPG's glass manufacturing plant.

    Traveling With Two Dog Crates

I travel with 2, 75-80 Lb. German Shepherds. For under 30 minute rides, I put them together in 1 crate and use tie downs to secure the crate. For longer trips, I put a blanket down to protect the plastic and collect hair, and use shortened leashes connected to the tie downs to keep them and me...

    Relatively quiet tires

Another vote for the Firestone A/Ts. Great all around tire that's practical and just works.

So the 4runner fails headlight tests with a "poor" rating

H11 in low beam and 9005 in high. Same as OEM.

So the 4runner fails headlight tests with a "poor" rating

Only if you say please. Halogen bulbs that are made to OEM spec for 5th gen projector lenses.

So the 4runner fails headlight tests with a "poor" rating

Put some Philips Extreme Vision bulbs in the high and low beam sockets and be done. I am very picky about night lighting and these throw plenty of light and are made for projector housings. I'm very satisfied after the change from oem bulbs. And zero problems with oncoming vehicles.

    Horrible Gas Mileage

    Nope, OEM.

    Horrible Gas Mileage

I lost almost 2 mpg immediately after installing mud flaps on my '16 Limited.

A dinosaur still roams the Earth.

My son just bought a new BMW M2. After driving my '16 Limited for the first time, he said the "BMW feels rock solid, the 4Runner with 20k miles feels rock solid too but could drive over anything." I take my crated German Shepherds to farm land accessible by a rutted, dirt road. Any SUV could...
