Battery thoughts

2016 Limited owner here. I did my homework and purchased a NAPA battery to replace the OEM Panasonic that served me well for nearly 5 years in New England. East Penn makes batteries for NAPA, the price is excellent, especially with regular sales, and performance has been excellent.

Am now sadly having to replace the Panasonic battery that came with my 2016 4Runner. I've tried the same route and also went to check salvage yards to see if they had the batteries from write-offs. No such luck! Any current recommendations on what to get. Is Costco still a good place for batteries ?

Thanks!

I replaced my factory Panasonic with a Costco Interstate battery a couple of months ago.

The Costco Interstate battery has a higher reserve capacity and cold-cranking amps over the factory Panasonic. IMO, it made more sense to me to get the Costco.

AutoZone and O'Reilly's have the same battery size w/ RC and CCA higher than the Costco, but for 2x the price - not worth it, IMO.

840 CCA by X2 or 850 CCA Odysey ODX AGM are best if you operate in severe conditions or go off road (about $300) but will last more than 7 years while full warranty for 5.
