My 2018 was getting water in the drivers side fog-light housing. I found that one of three plastic prongs on that particular light was bent and as a result the light's rubber gasket would not seat flat against the fog light housing. I replaced both fog lights with a version that has a metal body...

So I should not expect to see the same type of cover on the passenger side then?
Would be nice if one was there on the passenger side too, as it would help keep from mud collecting in the "valley" at the back of the wheel well!

Thanks for the reply. I haven't had enough 4WD time in my wife's 4Runner to test the center diff lock feature. The last decent snow we had I didn't even understand this features significance... and no snow this year at all (lame) to now put it to action. Looks like my concerns for 4WD...
Hey Plumber - Have you done any traction control mods (TCS on/off switch) etc.? We have the same year/model 4Runner as yours and I am in the planning stages for future mods.
