    Rear Spring / Towing Question

Towing with the new boat will be about once a month (130 miles round trip) and twice a year to FL (1800 miles round trip x2). I’ve looked into bags but have heard negative things (too soft) when you are not loaded. Is that not the case?

    Rear Spring / Towing Question

So I will be purchasing a new boat next month that weighs about 1800lbs heavier than the I have and tow now. My truck is a ‘16 TE with Daystar 3/2 level kit, stock springs and BFG 285/70s. The tongue weight with my extisting boat was about 145lbs and I had nominal rear sag on stock spring with...

    New to Alignment...

Soooooo, reading quite a bit I have a quick question to get a better understanding of some of the mechanics of a “post lift” alignment. Have a DayStar 3/2 (I know...not really a lift but it’s what I have for now) , newly installed 285 /70s. Stock UCA is pretty far down as it is now. So after...

    *Sorry.... Another 285s Thread*

They are the Trail Edition wheels. Look similar to the newer TRD Off Road wheels. I haven’t seen the specs on the TRDOR wheels but I know mine are 7.5” wide. Tire brand was the BFG K02s in C Load range. Only issue with putting 285s on the TRD Pro wheels is that you are mounting them on a 7”...

    *Sorry.... Another 285s Thread*

Thanks again everyone! New shoes are on and no rubbing at full lock forward or reverse. Need to try out some driveways but if they aren’t doing it now, I suspect if they do it will be minor. Thanks again!

    *Sorry.... Another 285s Thread*

Thanks for the votes of confidence. I guess I jist get nervous about things I can’t see. It just seems that a tire that is 1” wider and 1” taller will be in contact with the A-Arm. With my Daystar kit on there, it has lowered the A-arm’s position in relation to the tire. I guess I will see in a...

    *Sorry.... Another 285s Thread*

I know I know and I'm sorry but hear me out.... I have read, stressed, read some more, stressed again and finally pulled the trigger. Have a 2016 TE with Daystar 3/2 kit installed. Purchased BFG K02s in 285/70R17s in C Load. Had the 4Runner in the shop to get the rear bumper replaced from a...

Like the wheels. Did the same with mine except took the centercaps out. Like how you painted them.

    UPDATE! 5th Gen 4Runner Q&A Series - Questions

The head unit in my '16 T4R Trail seems to have features that are "grayed out" (additional navi features, weather features, etc.). Are these features "unlocked" by the stealership with a cost involved? If so, does anyone have experience with said cost?

ECU "learning": fact, fiction or just fuggetaboudit?

Being new to my '16 TE, being a car enthusiast myself and coming from a long line of sports cars prior to my T4R; I will chime in with what I know: I know that most newer (2003+) have MAF learning, A/F learning and A/T learning but I have not read much in the realm of 5th Gen T4Rs. I CAN tell...

5th Gen 4Runner Lift Buyers Guide

So I guess I will ask this here. I have been reading here and looking at specs on the BilsteinLifts website and my question is this: This buyers guide is EXTREMELY helpful and has helped me narrow my choices. I am really not wanting to go any higher than 3" overall because my 2016 TE is my...

5th Gen 4Runner Lift Buyers Guide

You found 4 Blistein shocks and Daystar spacers for $220 on Amazon!?! Was this a combined kit or are you buying all the parts separately?

Cutting off Exhaust behind rear axle?

Went to two places in the West Houston area that seemed either scared to do it or were trying to sell me a complete system stating that "it wouldnt be practical". Found Affordable Muffler mentioned in here, called them up and the owner (Emmanuel) said to bring it down. He made it so it would...
