It's an '88 SR5

I'm sure it wouldn't look this good if it hadn't come from Texas. I intend to hit everything possible underneath with POR-15. This thing is in pretty damn good shape and I want it to stay that way. It does need some work in the interior though. I need a console, carpet, and a few trim pieces...

Was it an actual Toyota manual, or one of the Haynes/Chilton/etc? I want the real deal Toyota manual.

Is there a good source online for OEM parts? I just bought an '88 SR5 Runner and it needs some odds and ends parts. I'd prefer to replace them with toyota originals. Thanks!

Are we all talking about the digital climate control, or mechanical? I'm talkin bout the digital version. If you guys can find me a digital climate control for 150 bucks I'd be happy to pay you a finders fee! I can't even find a yard around me that's had a runner in it, let alone a limited.

Use your screwdriver method on your fuel rail. I may be misunderstanding what you're describing, but I have a "diesel" sound to my engine as well after reassembly. A stethoscope revealed that it was the #1 fuel injector. Sounds an AWFUL lot like valve train noise, but it isnt.

I'm having exactly the same problem with my runner. It's out of warranty, and the replacement part from Toyota is 819 dollars. OUCH. Does anyone know of a salvage yard that might have one of these? I'm not going to pay 800 dollars for a part like that unless i absolutely have to.

Hey guys, the wife needs some bottom end in her '99 limited. I wanna get a sub in there for her, probably a single 12", but I don't wanna screw up the cargo area. We go camping at least once a month and we often have the cargo area full. Basically I need some creative installation ideas. Anyone?
