Changing out my wife's worn out factory Bilsteins on her 2015 Pro to the current factory Fox units that come on the newer Pros.
The one difference is the bottom upper rear shock bushings (the one that goes on the bottom side of the frame, the very top bushing fits no problem). The shafts on the...
Maybe one day people will understand that transmission oil needs to be serviced. It gets sheared down and contaminated just like engine oil. Quick lube places don't push for transmission oil changes due to the time/cost/complexity.
"Lifetime" has internal fine print associated with it, for some...
The newer Toyo AT3 are very nice, work well in wet/dry snowflake rating and quiet. Couldn't pay me to accept a set of KO2s...horrible in wet. Ridge Grapplers tend to chunk when used hard and not good in snow...but good otherwise. The Falkens went to a lesser quality China rubber compound...
On our stock (no lift) 2015 TRD Pro I will be replacing the worn out factory Eibachs with the newer TRD Pro Fox shock kit. Anyone know if the alignment specs are different if I change over to the Fox?
When I search and look at online vendors their descriptions are talking over each other (2WD Only, with Dynamic, etc).
What would be the OEM part number for rear springs for a 2015 Pro? It is the same as the Off Road I believe.
Thanks
What was the outcome of this?? I was considering a bar from them, but not if they are telling people it is normal to have water in the bar. Especially when their website states: "IP68 rating to keep dust and water out"
Looking to possibly replace our 2015 Pro's high mileage factory Bilstein suspension with the newer Fox kit that comes on the Pro now. Would it be a drop-in replacement on the 2015 Pro? Any significant geometry changes?
Yes yes I know...not looking for lift or something better for just a few...
M1 is better. The EP version is more robust than the AFE version for only $2 more per gallon.
Experienced a lot of interesting stuff in the racing world. Funny when race teams dump out one brand of oil and pour a different brand into the bottle...cameras can't tell which brand oil is in the bottle.
In my direct experience the Revo3 is better than the KO2. KO2 are not good in the wet comparatively. Same in E load as well for our big trucks...KO2 not good in wet, many reviews say the same.
Speaking of drilled rotors... the ones you get off the shelf (online) are garbage compared to what real race cars use which are ones built at the molecular level (carbon) and the holes are formed with the rotor (no drilling involved). Drilled rotors tend to crack at the holes, why real race cars...
Misinformation?? Take your rookie Mustang back to your 2 car garage and come with me in the pits to some National level pro events with multi million dollar sponsorships. Next you're going to tell me you can't use anything but 0-20 oil in a 5th gen.
I've had the pleasure of coversing multiple times with someone who worked on the R&D side of the brake industry. OEM is always the way to go for daily drivers. OEMs have very specific requirements/standards that aren't even met by top tier aftermarket pads.
I'd stay away from "performance" pads, they are ill suited for daily driving...even though most fall for the marketing. Solid rotors are always best, even on race cars, since they act like a heat sink.
