Stud size for adding manual hubs, 2000ltd.

Thanks for the replies, I knew they'd have to be a high grade. On Toyota's site i keep running into NLA on the studs. I think fastenal would have something, and like you mentioned, pricey.

Stud size for adding manual hubs, 2000ltd.

From what I can tell, I need to be looking for M8 x 41 x 1.25 preferably stainless? I'd ordered some that i thought would work but came in as M10's I'll be using the warn hubs so I don't care to order a kit with the cone washers. Thanks for any guidance!

Stuck in 4wd - troubleshooting? Fixed!

That's correct. I used some brake cleaner and vigorous actuations (tapping the ball on the workbench) to clean the contact points until the replacement arrived.

Wire loom/chase that looks like winshield trim?

I thought I'd recently read about someone here posting how they ran their roof rack wiring up the side of the passenger windshield with a rubber looking chase that seemed to duplicate the aesthetics of the oem windshield trim. Am I crazy or does someone else remember this? I'm usually pretty...

Trouble programming new OEM Toyota remote fob

I had a slow passenger door actuator that was keeping me from programming it. When i got the replacement in and I was removing the position sensor, it broke from my carelessness. I had to get another lock position sensor to complete the programming. There is a lock sensor in the rear door as...

ECGS Clamshell CV Axle Bushing Install

Pardon me if this doesn't belong here. I'm going through my 2000 and definitely have lots of slop on both sides. Would you use this bushing on the passenger side as well on a 2 - 2 1/2" lift? or go back with needle bearings on that side?, Thanks, Tim

Rear bearing and seal kit question

Thanks for the replies, I had already sourced Toyota seals but wouldn't mind having an extra set. One of my tone rings is buggered from previous owners time. Probably still works but I'll replace it. I've watched Timmy's video and will be patronizing the eBay guy he recommended for the axle tool.

Rear bearing and seal kit question

Just making sure this will work for my 2000 limited 4x4 with rear locker.. OEM KOYO Rear Wheel Bearing W/ ABS Skid Control Ring Gear For Tacoma / 4Runner | eBay When i look those koyo bearings up on amazon, the filter says it won't fit mine with ABS. Granted that's just the bearings but I'm...

How much did you pay for your 3rd gen?

2000 w rear locker, 230XXX on the clock, for $1k. Missing passenger half shaft, passenger rear brake leak, hood latch fubared, cracked instrument cluster lens, leaking valve covers, drivers window has issue with scissor bracket, needs paint, but most importantly to me besides the rear locker...

    Rear brake backing plates rusted.

Thanks for the help. I’ll look for a bit. It’s a hunting rig at our place so it’s nothing that’s needed yesterday.

    Rear brake backing plates rusted.

Brian, if I were to build up another Axle, would any 3rd gen housing work with the E locker?

    Rear brake backing plates rusted.

Thanks, i’ll look those videos up. I wasn’t looking for a project but one seems to have found me. A full rebuild is in the works either way I go.
