When ever my truck sits for for id say over 6 hours, I get a ticking/rapping on start up that last about 2 seconds. Please tell me im bugging cause my truck only got 88k!?
Few tips if you attempt yourself- while at autozone by a product called PB blast and spray it on all the drain and fill bolts to help break them free. Id spray a few times the day before oil change. An hour or 2 works as well. And most importantly always loosen the fill plug first! have fun!
I just drained the fluid after driving for about 20 minutes and exactly 4.5 quarts came out. I added 3 and checked the dip stick and it reads right on the top notch for when cold.
Should I put another quart in or just leave it?
lol the wish-o-meter. Truck still is pretty good on gas though!
I love the white too. When I went to look at the truck I was like yup this is mine gave him deposit that day since he had people coming to look at it.
What octane fuel you guys using in your 4runners? Im used to using 93 for my...
Did the zero point calibration today with a paper clip. It was super easy like you said and no more vcs lights! What relief! I freaking love driving this beast and am pretty surprised by what the dash says for fuel mileage while on the highway :) "saying" 28 mpg! About to do a search to see how...
Well I thought so too until I read about the zero point calibration that has to be zeroed if the ecu gets reset. Its throwing code c1336 zero point calib yaw rate sensor undone. So pretty much the traction control is off. Apparently the fix is jumping 2 pins in the obd2 port till it flashes for...
Bastone- thanks!
Carmax offered him 9800 for it and he had it listed for 11000 locally I ended up getting it for 10500 which I felt was a pretty good deal.
Pumped I found this! Its a 2003 with 85k purchased from original owner :) Drives like it just left the show room floor and I love it, minus the exception the vcs light is on because its needs to be zeroed out. But once I take care of that and change the fluids I think it will be perfect.
