Feel like I stole this 4runner!!

Pumped I found this! Its a 2003 with 85k purchased from original owner Drives like it just left the show room floor and I love it, minus the exception the vcs light is on because its needs to be zeroed out. But once I take care of that and change the fluids I think it will be perfect.

Also I would be concerned about the CEL you describe. They usually come on because something is wrong or at least needs corrected. Toyotas with 88k miles do not have ghost CELs ...

Well I thought so too until I read about the zero point calibration that has to be zeroed if the ecu gets reset. Its throwing code c1336 zero point calib yaw rate sensor undone. So pretty much the traction control is off. Apparently the fix is jumping 2 pins in the obd2 port till it flashes for 4 seconds. I posted the price after my original post. Just got snow here last night 4wd drive works great.

Good Point. I was wondering about that myself and i see people saying good find, etc, but it all depends on the price.

Considring the mileage and the price you got it for I would say you got a great deal. The calibration is super easy to do with two paper clips. I biught a V8 with 140k that needed it done for 8000 cash. Deals are out there if people are willing to hold out or travel sometimes.

Did the zero point calibration today with a paper clip. It was super easy like you said and no more vcs lights! What relief! I freaking love driving this beast and am pretty surprised by what the dash says for fuel mileage while on the highway "saying" 28 mpg! About to do a search to see how accurate it really is.

I was also really surprised when I pulled the tranny dip stick and its says no service under normal conditions must be some damn good oil. The guy mentioned pulling a small trailer once in a while so im thinking of doing drain and fill this weekend. With of course the factory toyota fluid

28 mpg... There is a reason the in dash gauge has been called the "Wish-O-Meter".

I love the white too. When I went to look at the truck I was like yup this is mine gave him deposit that day since he had people coming to look at it.

What octane fuel you guys using in your 4runners? Im used to using 93 for my car so im tempted to just keep using 93 in the 4runner.

They didn't. This one has the appearance package that includes the paint match, possibly the spoiler, and fog lights.

No need for 93. Just reg 87 is fine. Though I usually use 93 every 3-4 tanks to help clean out the engine, and when I get the 93 it's usually at a Shell or Chevron. Sometimes QT (QuikTrip) because their gas is good too, but I like the active ingredients in Shell and Chevron, they're more pronounced compared to QT but that also explains the higher price.
