Is there a way to reset the door locks so that when I put the 4Runner into Park and the door locks automatically unlock? The auto lock when I move the gear selector out of Park. This has always annoyed me.

It looks like the seals I need are Toyota P/N: 90311-47012 (left/driver) & 90311-47013 (right/passenger).

IF you do it right, there shouldn't be any leakage from the Transmission. I would expect you to loose a .5-1 cup of gear fluid from the front diff when you pull the axle out. But buy some anyways, it probably needs a top off.

Wyanrard, did you replace the Axle Shafts as well? Is that seal included on the replacement? Or do you need to buy a separate 'Axle Shaft Seal' (Rock Auto)? Does a worn out seal cause that much play?
