I have the energy suspension red poly sway bar and end link bushings. My sway bar bushings are the greasable ones. I' ve never had a problem with mine squeaking every time I change my oil I give each one a shot of grease.

Don't skimp on the ratchet get a good quality one craftsman are good but of course snap on are better. Also try to get a flex head ratchet they are very handy.

I agree the piston that looks "cleaner" has had coolant passing over it for a while.
