Hey all I'm looking into doing the tundra brake upgrade. I know this subject has been beat to death but I just can't find the answers I'm lookin for....
1. What years of tundra do I need to find.
2. This is a direct bolt on correct?
3. I have the split 3 spoke 16" wheels if I want to use these I need to trim/grind some material off the inside of the wheel right? How much do I need to remove? If I want I could use the factory tundra wheels right?
4. This one is probably kinda stupid but is the a definite way to tell the 199's from the 231's just by looking at them.
I ask the last one because there its a junk yard 150 miles from where I live the guy says he has 4 tundras ranging from 00-05 and he will sell me the calipers and rotors for $20 a side if I pull them. I want to make sure the're the larger brakes before I drive up there to get them. If not it will have to wait a month or so till I head that direction for deer hunting so% can check them myself.
