It won't block the License Plate lights at all! There's plenty of space to clear the XTR LP system when bolted in. :) It'd have to be Klondike-bar sized to cover those things up!

It should work with no issues! I've seen a few Subaru Crosstreks and a Expedition with it installed + a LP Holder! :)
